Yes. Although the Board requires complaints to be signed and verified to ensure fairness and due process. Anonymous complaints can be accepted. When an anonymous complaint is filed, the complainant’s name and identifying information is redacted.

3. What types of matters fall under the Board of Ethics’ authority?

The Board investigates alleged violations of the Henry County Code of Ethics by county officials and employees. This includes conflicts of interest and misuse of position.

4. Does the Board of Ethics handle personnel or human resources issues?

No. The Board does not hear complaints related to personnel disputes, workplace grievances, hiring, promotions, or disciplinary actions. Those matters should be addressed through the County’s Human Resources Department.
