An Organization Dedicated to Good Governance

The Henry County Board of Ethics ensures that every part and member of the local government adheres to the highest ethical standards. Our actions promote the public’s confidence in the administration by ensuring they will act for the benefit of the people.

Promoting Integrity

Through our ethics officer, we educate and train county officials and employees on the importance of holding ourselves to a higher standard. Local leaders should be prime examples of model citizenry who will always do what is best for the public.

Ensuring Accountability

When ethical standards are compromised, we thoroughly investigate alleged violations and, when appropriate, take proper action. Those who disregard their duties to the public for self-gain will be investigated and sanctions imposed where necessary.

Upholding Transparency

By providing systematic reporting on the counties’ ethical health, we help build rapport between the community and county officials. This trust between the public and the government enables both parties to perform great things that will benefit the community.

An Unbiased Arbiter

Honesty is the centerfold of our organization. That means we’ll always be truthful and unbiased in everything we do, from small investigations to large reports.

When an official’s actions are questionable, we’ll investigate whether a particular course of conduct would constitute a violation of the code of ethics. Afterward, The Board will determine what action should be taken based on the facts.

Commitment to Excellence

We are clear in our expectations and committed to exemplifying the highest standard of ethical conduct that goes far beyond legal obligations. Our organization believes that exemplary governance follows not only the letter of the law but also its spirit.

Drop Us a Line
