Disclosure of conflict of interest
The Code of Ethics requires an official or employee to disclose where an actual or potential conflict of interest exists. This disclosure must describe the nature of the conflict and the monetary amount (if any) associated with the conflict. The Board shall issue an opinion on the conflict to help guide the official or employee to resolution.
Any official or employee who knowingly has any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract to which Henry County is or is about to become a party, or in any other business with Henry County, must disclose such interest to the Board of Commissioners, to the Ethics Officer, and to the Board of Ethics.
